TC News is thrilled to announce the official launch of Samson Strings, a rising Ugandan gospel singer-songwriter and bow harpist. Non-musically known as Samson K. Mukisa, MD, Samson Strings has embraced a new stage name that reflects his deep connection to the Adungu, a traditional Ugandan bow harp.
Samson’s musical journey began at a young age. He affirmed his faith at age nine through Sonship Ministries Church, under the guidance of Pr. Sarah Byekwaso. With the support of Molly & Paul M Wasswa, he pursued his education at New Kabale Busega P/S, Lubiri SS, and ultimately Makerere University.
A pivotal moment came in 2012 when Samson met Ronald Kayiza from the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir. This friendship founded a new passion for the Adungu, inspiring Samson to create soul-stirring spiritual music. Fueled by positive listener feedback, he honed his craft, releasing independent songs that resonated with christian audiences.
In 2022, Samson appeared on the Talk-The-Walk Show, a turning point that led to his first sponsored live performance at Life Changing Church Ndejje. This momentum culminated in the release of his debut single, “Ye Mukama Ow’ekisa,” in 2024.

Beyond music, Samson Strings is deeply committed to philanthropy. He co-founded the Nedispo Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged communities in Uganda, with the support of his UK Partners, the Prosper Foundation.
